SEO/SEM Manager

Point It! is a privately-held, growing company addressing a red-hot market. We are looking for dynamic individuals who want to be integral members of our team.

The SEO/SEM Manager is responsible for implementing innovative and effective natural and paid search engine marketing strategies and programs including communication planning, competitive analysis, site audits and measurement recommendations.

You must possess advanced communication skills and be able to effectively interact with clients over the phone, via email or occasionally in person. We deliver results with a bottom line focus which yields measurable benefits to our clients in the form of higher ROI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall client relationship by setting and delivering upon client expectations
  • Spearhead consistent review of project delivery and execution
  • Implement search engagements from briefing through completion, implementing template processes to increase efficiency and quality wherever possible.
  • Participate in client and prospect presentations to deliver search strategies to and, upon request, scope of work and pricing estimates.
  • Research and develop keyword target lists and establish page level distribution
  • Define website content needs and oversee its development with proper SEO methodologies
  • Write optimized and concise HTML Title and Meta Description tags along with optimized copy
  • Provide link building services and develop new linking strategies
  • Run, process and analysis progress reports
  • Stay current with industry development and participate in the SEO online community

Qualifications:
Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years of Search Engine Optimization experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with search engines, internet usage, and basic online principals
  • Basic HTML and web design experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization principals
  • Web Analytics
  • Blogs and Social Media a plus
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Technology or related field.

Knowledge:
Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the search engine space and SEO best practices including paid versus SEO tactics, keyword analysis, title and meta-tag coding, link building, domain issues, page analysis, site redirection, dynamic site indexing, copywriting and general troubleshooting.
  • Analytical focus with the ability to recommend and implement optimization tactics from data intensive reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively and persuasively present internally and externally
  • Strong MS Office software and tools of the trade skills
  • Ability to create buy-in from multiple constituents in a collaborative cross-functional environment
  • Motivated by helping to build a business line
