Noteworld.com SEO Case Study

Business Challenge

Founded in 1980, NoteWorld Servicing Center is the largest third-party servicer of seller-financed notes in the nation, currently servicing over 125,000 customers nationwide. NoteWorld is also one of the largest nationwide note (mortgage) buyers. As the business climate for note servicing changed, the need to improve search engine visibility became critical.

Search Marketing Challenge

NoteWorld had very little visibility on terms related to seller financing services and note buying. An assessment was conducted to establish a baseline and the findings were quite dramatic. Only 10 instances of "seller financing" terms appeared on the first page of results of the three major search engines (Google, Yahoo & MSN) for 93 terms. For "note buying" terms, there were no first page results for 154 terms evaluated. An additional concern was that MSN with less than 10% market share had more listings than Google and Yahoo.

Solution

At the onset, Point It! recommended a search engine marketing program that integrated strategies for both natural and paid listings. Data would be shared between the programs to constantly learn and improve upon past results.

Natural search engine optimization began with a comprehensive program that included detailed keyword research, competitive analysis, in-bound linking strategy, meta data and tag re-engineering plus an extensive review of site copy, graphical content and page structures.
