Chandra: What path did you take to your current position?

Al Lepow, Programmatic Campaign Manager
Al: My background is actually in cooking and restaurant management. In 2009 I moved to Israel to get some international cooking experience under my belt. Long story short, I ended up having a few chance encounters while working the graveyard shift at a local Tel Aviv café, fell backwards into the startup world, and I haven’t been back in the kitchen since.
Chandra: Why did you choose Point It?
Al: I had been working as a media buyer in the social gaming space for several years and always enjoyed working with and learning from the Programmatic Display partners that we brought on board. When the time came for me to transition out of gaming I knew that Programmatic Display was where I wanted to advance and Point It was the perfect landing spot.
Chandra: What are you most excited about in your new role?
Al: The most exciting part for me is the constant conceptualizing and streamlining of our tactics to better serve our clients. Every client has different needs, and that means that every day at Point It is a little different. Except for Tuesdays. There’s always free lunch on Tuesdays.
Chandra: If someone wanted to follow in your footsteps, what piece of advice would you offer them?
Al: Don’t be afraid to kick the tires on different opportunities that come your way. If it looks interesting, then give it a try!
