BAE Webinar Follow Up: Version 11

Bing Ads Editor Updates Webinar

Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to be able to participate in multiple rounds of product research before Bing introduced their new editor.  I worked with some of the engineers and researchers to explain how we use Bing Ads Editor, or BAE as we call it around the PI office, and what we thought the new version should change/update/add.  Once the first version (Version 11) came out, I wrote a blog article, stating some of the items I thought could still be improved upon.  I am happy to say, all of these have been updated in the new version! Okay well except labels… but one day that will happen, right?!

In this webinar, Prince Bajracharya, an engineer on the Bing Ads Editor team, shows us all the changes the BAE underwent, and what this meant for those who use the tool.  Below are the main points we covered. If you haven’t already downloaded the new editor, I would highly suggest you make the switch and see why this version is better than ever!

Completely Redesigned UI

Prince walks us through the major changes between the old UI and the new UI, including the look and feel for the new editor, as well as the improvements in functionality and design.

Why we’re excited!

Everyone loves a good makeover, and this is no exception!  The old UI was not set up to be very user friendly.  This new UI is sleek, fast, and functional.

Multi Account Management

In BAE v10 users could only work on one account at a time. With v11 you can work with multiple accounts at the same time.

Why we’re excited!

As an agency, his feature is so great to be able to easily switch back and forth between clients!

Callout Extension Support

Callout extension support is now available in Bing editor and easier than ever. Adding a callout extension through the Shared Library can easily be associated with Campaigns or Ad Groups.

Why we’re excited!

I love the Shared Library! Anything that can simplify the way we make large edits in accounts is a great feature.  This makes adding callouts to different campaigns/ad groups a very smooth process.

Expanded Text Ad Support

Expanded Text ads are currently in pilot, but will eventually be available for all users.  From the beginning they will have support through editor.

Why we’re excited!

At Point It we have already been transitioning our Google accounts over to ETAs.  Support for Bing ETAs will be easy and seamless with the functionality available in Editor.

BAE for Mac

If you haven’t already signed up for the Beta, you can do so here.

Why we’re excited!

It is always great to have support for Mac devices.  Having any new updates support Mac and PC will be a huge benefit!

And now introducing, support for Shopping Campaigns!

At the end of the Webinar, Prince let us know that Bing Ads Editor will now support Shopping campaigns!  This is going to be a great feature for anyone in the eCommerce area, and we are very excited to see this  available to all users soon.
