Chandra: What path did you take to your current position?Taylor Chatterton

Taylor: I worked at an agency in St. Louis before I moved to Seattle this July. I started as a Digital Specialist (executing all aspects of digital media campaigns) and eventually moved into a paid search-specific role because that was what I was most passionate about. I really enjoy the faster pace and variety that comes with working at an agency so as I was searching for jobs in Seattle, I was looking for something similar. A former colleague of mine in the area referred me to Point It, and the rest is history.

Chandra: Why did you choose Point It?

Taylor: I wanted to work at Point It because even during the interview process I could tell that a lot of very smart people work here. The business, role, and clients are very interesting and challenging so there are lots of opportunities to learn from others, continue to develop my knowledge, and grow in my career.

Chandra: What are you most excited about in your new role?

Taylor: I’m excited to be able to learn from some very smart people, and have already learned so much in a short time. Additionally, I haven’t had the chance to work on a lot of retail clients, so getting to work with them and optimize campaigns in a different way is also new and fun for me.

Chandra: If someone wanted to follow in your footsteps, what piece of advice would you offer them?

Taylor: I would say that you should find what you’re passionate about and then look for a job where others are passionate about the same things. Do your research about potential employers because this is so important. If you are lucky enough to find a place where you’re surrounded by smart, like-minded people, you will learn so much and they will encourage you to develop your skills and grow in your career.
