In our Point It’s Top Talent blog series, we’re proud to introduce you to some of the super-skilled folks we’ve recently promoted into new positions at Point It. As you can probably tell, we think Point It is a fabulous place to work. Today, we’d like to introduce Lindsay Walker, freshly-minted Account Director with Point It, in conversation with our Sr. Manager of Marketing Tim Mohler. Lindsay will be joining the paid search leadership team and focusing on partnerships.
TM: Tell me about your career path at Point It. How has Point It helped you reach your career goals?
LW: I joined Point It as a contractor in August 2012, became a full time employee in January 2015. What I love about Point It (besides the people) is there is flexibility to explore areas that interest you. I have gotten to work on small B2B accounts and enterprise e-commerce ones as well as explore display.
TM: What inspires you to get great results for your clients?
LW: First of all, working as a team with our clients and trusting each other is very important. I get the best results when I really understand a client’s business – when I know their audience, competitors and the purchase process.
TM: What do you love best about your job?
LW: What I love the most (again, besides the people) is figuring out how to reach and keep the right customers with search strategies. Because it is search marketing and the end customer and their experience should always be the focus.
TM: How would someone go about doing what you do?
LW: Keep learning and exposing yourself to different size clients in different industries. There is something to learn (very often about yourself) from every relationship.
